Is your daily routine standing in the way of your results? Here’s how to tweak it to start working for you!

Following my last article about how getting organised can help you live healthier and happier, here’s three more extremely effective strategies I’m excited to share with you. This is because they WILL work, once you have given yourself the chance to practice them.

They have created some pretty fantastic results for my personal training clients and Bootcampers too, mainly from freeing up a ton of energy previously wasted on stress! Having access to this headspace has enabled them to structure and live their lives far happier and more peacefully than their previous ways of living. So I wish the very same for you too!

Do one thing at a time

As explored previously; attempting to multitask can often mean things don’t end up getting done as efficiently as they could. The first step is to focus on the single thing you’re doing, without letting anything else creep in.

I always used to have multiple windows open on my laptop, which meant I got so easily distracted with everything else I had to do afterwards! Completing one task, before moving on to the next also avoids feeling overwhelmed with the amount on your to-do list. Try this with your next task (no matter how small) and watch how much more productive you are.

Accept your strengths and weaknesses

Ie, don’t be afraid to ask for help in areas that aren’t your forte. Could the hours spent cleaning your house be worth more, from paying someone else to do it? Think about what money spent on something would be worth, from the time it could create.

I could have spent a fair few months redesigning my website, but instead chose to pay an expert to do it for me. I viewed this as a long-term investment, that avoided hours of ‘trail and error’ so has been worth every penny!

Be present

Stress cannot exist in the present moment, so regular practice of present-moment living aka mindfulness will pay great dividends. If you feel yourself becoming stressed, take a deep breath and give yourself a mini reality-check.

Start by focusing on what you can see, hear, feel and smell in that moment. Next remember every little thing to be grateful for, one thing at a time. It might be your ability to see, hear, feel, smell and taste. You’ll immediately start to feel peaceful, as gratitude is so powerful it’s impossible to feel anything else!

Good luck and I wish you nothing but happiness and peace for today and always! Gen x
